This past Sunday, I had the honor of photographing a wedding that felt like something out of a storybook. Set against the backdrop of the bride’s grandpa’s mountain ranch, the day was surrounded by autumn’s finest colors. Golden leaves, crisp air, and the quiet beauty of a lake all in a gorgeous mountain backdrop The couple shared their vows surrounded by family, friends, and their sweet son, making the celebration not just about two people joining together, but about the love of a family becoming even more rooted and strong. The afternoon began with bright, bold light. It was harsh at times, but beautiful as it danced across the lake and mountains. As the day unfolded, so did the weather. Toasts began outdoors, but before long, rain rolled in, sending everyone laughing and rushing for cover inside the lake house. The cozy shift only added to the charm, and eventually, the reception found its home indoors, where warmth, laughter, and music carried late into the evening. It was the perfect reminder that weddings are not about everything going according to plan..they’re about love, family, and the moments you’ll never forget. And this one, with its stunning scenery, autumn colors, and joyful little surprises, will stay with me for a long time.
Here are a few sneak peaks of the day..hopefully they tide you over while I edit your images.
